Dark Arts Whiskey House ‘Barely Legal’ Bourbon is a bold expression of American craftsmanship, distilled in Indiana and artfully blended and bottled in Lexington, Kentucky. This small-batch bourbon combines 51% corn, 39% rye, and 10% malted rye, giving it a unique character that toes the line between a traditional bourbon and a high-rye whiskey. The whiskey’s name comes from its legally required 51% corn content, while the blend of rye is split between traditional and malted rye. Each batch is carefully curated, with blends aged between 6 and 8 years, always bottled at cask strength, typically around 117 proof.

The nose opens with enticing aromas of ripe orchard fruits, accompanied by the spicy warmth of rye and subtle notes of caramelized sugar. As the bouquet develops, hints of lemon zest and the comforting scent of graham crackers emerge, offering a well-rounded, fragrant introduction. On the palate, the bourbon reveals indulgent flavors of honeyed chocolate and cherry cola, balanced by a touch of citrus and cinnamon spice that provide complexity without overwhelming the senses.

This bourbon finishes with a rich, buttery mouthfeel that lingers, leaving traces of vanilla, caramel, and a pleasant fruity essence. The oak spice, though subtle, weaves through the final moments of each sip, offering depth to the sweet and fruity notes. With only 600 to 750 bottles per batch, 'Barely Legal' is an exclusive treat for those who appreciate a cask-strength, high-rye bourbon with a unique flavor profile.

  • Saver shipping (where available) takes 5–7 days to receive local carrier tracking, and delivery is typically 5–7 business days after tracking is assigned.
  • Ground shipping times are estimates only and not guaranteed by the couriers.
  • We are unable to guarantee a specific delivery date.

3. What happens if delivery is unsuccessful?

The carrier will attempt delivery three times before returning the order.

  • Additional delivery attempts require an extra delivery fee.
  • Orders returned due to incorrect addresses, failed delivery attempts, or recipient refusal will be refunded minus a 20% restocking fee and shipping charges.

4. Can shipments be delayed due to weather?
