Black Velvet 3 Year Old Blended Canadian Whisky 1.75L is the original blended Canadian whisky produced at the Black Velvet Distillery in Lethbridge, Alberta. It is made with Canadian water and a combination of rye, grain, and corn whiskies. The components are distilled and “Blended at Birth” before entering oak barrels, allowing the blend to mature together for three years. This large-format PET bottle contains 1.75 liters and is bottled at 40% ABV / 80 proof.
The established profile is medium-bodied and softly sweet, with caramel and vanilla at the center, followed by coconut and a measured note of rye spice. Caramel and vanilla provide the rounded core, while coconut adds another sweet dimension and the rye spice supplies a drier counterpoint. The three-year maturation gives the component whiskies time to integrate after their pre-barrel blending. Bottling at 40% ABV keeps those sweet grain and oak-derived notes in balance with the whisky’s restrained spice. The broad-shouldered 1.75L PET format uses a screw-cap closure and contains the same original three-year expression in a larger bottle.

1. Do I need to be home to sign for my order?
Yes. Federal law requires an adult signature (21+ years old) for all alcohol deliveries. Couriers will check ID at the time of delivery. If no adult is available, the package may be returned. No exceptions can be made.
2. How long does it take to process and ship my order?
- Orders are processed and shipped Monday through Friday.
- Please allow up to 3 business days for processing.
- Flat rate shipping (where available) takes 1-3 days to receive local carrier tracking, and delivery is typically 5–7 business days after tracking is assigned.
- Ground shipping times are estimates only and not guaranteed by the couriers.
- We are unable to guarantee a specific delivery date.
3. What happens if delivery is unsuccessful?
The carrier will attempt delivery three times before returning the order.
- Additional delivery attempts require an extra delivery fee.
- Orders returned due to incorrect addresses, failed delivery attempts, or recipient refusal will be refunded minus a 20% restocking fee and shipping charges.
4. Can shipments be delayed due to weather?
Yes. Wine and delicate products are weather sensitive. To prevent heat or freeze damage, shipments may be delayed at LoveScotch’s discretion.
- LoveScotch is not responsible for wine damage caused by ground couriers.
5. Can you ship to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO, or freight forwarders?
No. We are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes, Army Post Offices (APO), Fleet Post Offices (FPO), or freight forwarding companies.
6. Do you ship bottles in original packaging?
Not always. Bottles are not guaranteed to arrive in original packaging unless specifically requested.
- If original packaging is required, please add a note to your order.
- Additional shipping fees may apply for packaging requests.
7. What is your return policy?
Due to state regulations, alcohol returns are only accepted if the product is spoiled.
- If a bottle is significantly damaged during transit, LoveScotch will refund or replace it. Please email hello@lovescotch.com with photos of the damaged product and packaging.
- All bottles are inspected before shipping.
- Images on the website are illustrative only. Product editions, batches, or packaging may vary unless specifically stated in the product description.
- Engraved bottles are non-refundable unless damaged. If returned after failed delivery attempts, the customer will not receive a refund and will incur a secondary return shipping fee.
Flat Rate Shipping
Our flat-rate shipping option covers orders containing up to three standard 750ml bottles, with a total package weight of approximately 12 lbs. Please note that this rate may not apply to oversized or overweight items, larger bottle formats (such as 1L or 1.75L), or products requiring special packaging if the total shipping weight exceeds the 12-lb limit. In such cases, additional shipping charges may apply.

We offer a $24.95 flat rate shipping for up to 3 bottles to the following states:

For all other states we ship to (excluding Alaska and Hawaii), the flat rate is $29.95.
2. Do you ship to all U.S. states?
No. Due to local laws and carrier restrictions, we are currently unable to ship alcohol to the following states:

3. Are there exceptions to the flat rate shipping?
Yes. The flat rate option may not apply to certain ZIP codes within states we service. This is due to higher delivery rates set by shipping companies in specific areas.
