Product Description
Shipping & Return

Ardbeg '17 Year Committee Release' Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a tribute to one of the distillery's most beloved expressions, first released in 1997 after its reopening. Originating from the rugged Isle of Islay, Scotland, this whisky's return marks a celebration of tradition and precision, meticulously recreated by Master Distiller Dr. Bill Lumsden. Bottled at 40% ABV, just as it was over two decades ago, this release is a tribute to those who stood by the distillery's revival.

The whisky showcases Ardbeg’s signature peaty profile, but with an unusually delicate touch. Aromas of pine resin, sea spray, and lavender soap create a fresh and restrained nose, while flinty minerality emerges with a splash of water. Subtle sweet peat smoke and malted barley intertwine with aniseed, fennel, and toasting bread, creating a complex yet balanced profile that hints at both tradition and innovation.

On the palate, it offers a creamy texture and flavors of aniseed toffee, café latte, and gentle antiseptic notes. The peat smoke remains present but understated, leading to a lingering finish of chewy oak, cocoa powder, and tar. Best enjoyed neat or with a touch of water to fully experience the intricate layers, this release is a nostalgic yet refined revival of an iconic Islay malt.

LoveScotch Shipping & Returns FAQ

1. Do I need to be home to sign for my order?

Yes. Federal law requires an adult signature (21+ years old) for all alcohol deliveries. Couriers will check ID at the time of delivery. If no adult is available, the package may be returned. No exceptions can be made.

2. How long does it take to process and ship my order?

  • Orders are processed and shipped Monday through Friday.
  • Please allow up to 3 business days for processing.
  • Saver shipping (where available) takes 5–7 days to receive local carrier tracking, and delivery is typically 5–7 business days after tracking is assigned.
  • Ground shipping times are estimates only and not guaranteed by the couriers.
  • We are unable to guarantee a specific delivery date.

3. What happens if delivery is unsuccessful?

The carrier will attempt delivery three times before returning the order.

  • Additional delivery attempts require an extra delivery fee.
  • Orders returned due to incorrect addresses, failed delivery attempts, or recipient refusal will be refunded minus a 20% restocking fee and shipping charges.

4. Can shipments be delayed due to weather?

Yes. Wine and delicate products are weather sensitive. To prevent heat or freeze damage, shipments may be delayed at LoveScotch’s discretion.

  • LoveScotch is not responsible for wine damage caused by ground couriers.

5. Can you ship to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO, or freight forwarders?

No. We are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes, Army Post Offices (APO), Fleet Post Offices (FPO), or freight forwarding companies.

6. Do you ship bottles in original packaging?

Not always. Bottles are not guaranteed to arrive in original packaging unless specifically requested.

  • If original packaging is required, please add a note to your order.
  • Additional shipping fees may apply for packaging requests.

7. What is your return policy?

Due to state regulations, alcohol returns are only accepted if the product is spoiled.

  • If a bottle is significantly damaged during transit, LoveScotch will refund or replace it. Please email hello@lovescotch.com with photos of the damaged product and packaging.
  • All bottles are inspected before shipping.
  • Images on the website are illustrative only. Product editions, batches, or packaging may vary unless specifically stated in the product description.
  • Engraved bottles are non-refundable unless damaged. If returned after failed delivery attempts, the customer will not receive a refund and will incur a secondary return shipping fee.
