Alexander Murray Holiday Whisky Gift Pack
Lovescotch and Single Malt Daily present the Alexander Murray Christmas Whisky Gift Pack! A fantastic way to share the joy of the holiday season with your friends and family! We have featured five exquisite single malt Scotch whiskies from some of the best distilleries Scotland has to offer and we are going to share them with you.
The featured whiskies are:
Caol Ila 8 Year Old 2006 - A true celebration of the maritime influence famous on the Island of Islay in the Hebrides of Scotland, this Alexander Murray Caol Ila is specially selected for its dry, peppery, briny and peaty qualities. Whiskies from Caol Ila have long been treasured by master blenders for creating the signature wisp of smoke in their blends. Most notable is Caol Ila’s contribution to the Johnnie Walker blends. Matured in ex-bourbon casks.
Ardmore 13 Year Old 2000 - The use of peated barley in Scotch whisky production, typically native to the Islands and the west coast of Scotland, increasingly became adopted on the mainland due to the sheer demand of smoky whisky. In the Highlands of Scotland, just on the edge of the Speyside region, sits Ardmore distillery. One of the few that started using peat, Ardmore Distillery to this day produces both peated and unpeated whisky, depending on what time of year it is being produced.
Benrinnes 19 Year Old 1995 - At the foot of Ben Rinnes lays one of the unsung hero distilleries of Speyside, whose whisky is a favorite of Scotland’s renowned blenders. This Alexander Murray Benrinnes is the most interesting, idiosyncratic of single malts. Matured in ex-bourbon casks.
Glenrothes 22 Year Old 1993 - Established in 1878, the picturesque Glenrothes Distillery is in the small town of Rothes, home to five distilleries. This fine Speyside Malt has been the main component in Berry Brothers and Rudd Cutty Sark blend since 1920. Alexander Murray & Co. brings you this rare bottling of Glenrothes, distilled in 1993 spending 22 years in oak casks.
Bladnoch 25 Year old 1990 - From one of just six Lowland distilleries in Scotland, this Alexander Murray Bladnoch is a rare gem. As one of the smallest producing distilleries in Scotland its fine malt whisky remains one of the most difficult to find.
