Wheated bourbon is a style of bourbon whiskey where wheat is used as the secondary grain in the mash bill, replacing the more common rye. The primary grain in all bourbon must be at least 51% corn, but wheated bourbons have a notable sweetness, often with flavors of caramel, vanilla, honey, and a mellow fruitiness.
