Warsteiner
Warsteiner is a renowned German brewery with a legacy dating back to 1753, known for producing high-quality beers that adhere to the German Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot), which mandates only water, hops, and malt be used in brewing. The brewery is based in Warstein, North Rhine-Westphalia, and has earned international recognition for its premium pilsner and other beer styles.
Warsteiner’s flagship offering is the Warsteiner Premium Verum, a crisp and refreshing pilsner. It boasts a well-balanced flavor profile with a slightly bitter hop character, light malt sweetness, and a clean, dry finish. The beer’s pale golden color and moderate carbonation make it exceptionally easy to drink. Warsteiner Premium Verum has an alcohol content of 4.8%, typical for pilsners, and is often enjoyed chilled, either on its own or paired with a variety of foods, from sausages and pretzels to lighter fare like salads and seafood.
The brewery also produces other varieties, including Warsteiner Dunkel, a dark lager with rich malt flavors and notes of caramel and chocolate, and Warsteiner Radler, a refreshing blend of beer and lemonade. Warsteiner’s long-standing commitment to quality and its use of pure brewing water from the Arnsberg Forest Nature Park contribute to its reputation as one of Germany’s most iconic beer brands.
