Split Spirits

Split Spirits was born to explore. This Vermont distillery is on a mission to create sustainable spirits with flavors as unique as the state it calls home. They do this by working with local farmers, who have committed to sustainable practices that build healthy soil, to source the best grains in the region, which are then handcrafted into exceptional whiskeys, gins and other delightful spirits at the country’s first Climate Neutral Certified distillery located in Middlebury, Vermont. 
Their lineup of spirits include several types of whiskey, gin, and even the first Vermont-made agave spirit (VTequila), made with 100% pure Vermont maple syrup. They also make specialty liqueurs, including an espresso liqueur and their top selling VT Maple Creemee Liqueur, inspired by Vermont’s favorite summer treat: maple creemees (maple soft-serve ice cream).
Since its founding in 2014, Split Spirits (then Appalachian Gap Distillery) has been committed to sustainability. In 2021, they partnered with The Change Climate Project - a nonprofit organization that works with brands to decrease global greenhouse gas emissions - to assess the impact of their distilling operations on our climate. After working with the nonprofit to implement a series of sustainable practices to offset their entire carbon footprint, Split Spirits was given the label Climate Neutral Certified - the first distillery in the country to be given the label, which is a universal standard of carbon neutrality, earned only by brands that measure, reduce and offset their entire carbon footprint.
