Pittyvaich
Pittyvaich was a short-lived distillery in Scotland’s Speyside region, known for its rare and sought-after single malt Scotch whisky. Founded in 1974, Pittyvaich was originally built to produce whisky for blends, but it was closed in 1993 after just 18 years of operation. Despite its brief existence, the distillery's releases have gained a cult following among whisky enthusiasts due to their distinctive character and rarity.
Pittyvaich single malts are typically characterized by their light, fruity, and floral profiles, with hints of vanilla, oak, and a subtle spiciness. As the distillery has been closed for decades, bottles of Pittyvaich are increasingly rare and often appear as special releases or in limited-edition collections, making them a prized find for collectors and connoisseurs.
