Old Potrero is a pioneering American whiskey brand known for its commitment to reviving the traditional style of rye whiskey. Produced by the Anchor Distilling Company (now known as Hotaling & Co.) in San Francisco, Old Potrero was first introduced in the mid-1990s. The brand was the brainchild of Fritz Maytag, who is also credited with helping to kickstart the craft brewing movement in the United States.
Old Potrero is unique in its use of 100% malted rye, which sets it apart from most other rye whiskeys that typically use a mix of grains.
