Noilly Prat
Noilly Prat, established in 1813, is a renowned French producer of vermouth. Located in Marseillan, in the south of France, Noilly Prat is famous for its unique production process that involves aging wines in oak casks exposed to the sun, sea breezes, and changing temperatures. This traditional method, known as "dodinage," imparts a distinctive flavor profile to the vermouth.
Noilly Prat's offerings include the Original Dry, known for its dry, complex, and herbal taste, and the Rouge, which features a rich, spicy, and slightly sweet character. The Ambre, available in select markets, is distinguished by its amber color and a blend of exotic spices and botanicals. These vermouths are commonly used in classic cocktails like the Martini and the Manhattan, as well as enjoyed on their own as aperitifs.
