Lochlea is a relatively new Scottish whisky distillery located in the Lowlands region of Scotland. Established on a historic Ayrshire farm, Lochlea Distillery began production in 2018, bringing a fresh perspective to the Scotch whisky landscape. The farm has a rich history, including a connection to the famous Scottish poet Robert Burns, who once worked there.
Lochlea focuses on creating high-quality single malt Scotch whisky using barley grown on their own land. This farm-to-bottle approach ensures complete control over the production process, from grain to glass. The distillery places a strong emphasis on sustainability and traditional methods, while also incorporating innovative techniques to produce a distinctive and refined whisky.
