Fernet-Branca
Fernet-Branca is a renowned Italian amaro (bitter liqueur) known for its complex and herbal flavor. Created in Milan in 1845 by Bernardino Branca, it features a secret blend of over 27 herbs and spices, including myrrh, rhubarb, chamomile, cardamom, and saffron.
Originally enjoyed as a digestif to aid digestion, Fernet-Branca is also popular in cocktails. In Argentina, it is famously mixed with cola to create "Fernet con Cola." Elsewhere, it is often consumed as a shot or on the rocks.
With its intense bitterness and intricate herbal notes, Fernet-Branca has a dedicated following among those who appreciate bold flavors and the traditional digestive benefits of amaro liqueurs.
