Chinaco
Chinaco Tequila stands as a pioneering brand in the world of premium tequila, with a rich heritage rooted in the Tamaulipas region of Mexico. Established in the 1970s by Guillermo González, Chinaco was the first tequila to be exported to the United States, introducing the world to the quality and craftsmanship of authentic Mexican tequila. The brand is known for its commitment to traditional production methods and the use of 100% blue Weber agave, which is grown in the unique terroir of Tamaulipas, a region distinct from the more common Jalisco area.
Chinaco’s lineup includes expressions such as Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo. The Blanco is vibrant and crisp, showcasing fresh agave notes with a touch of citrus and pepper. The Reposado is aged for up to a year in oak barrels, developing a richer profile with notes of vanilla, caramel, and a hint of spice. The Añejo is matured even longer, offering deep, complex flavors of dried fruit, chocolate, oak, and a smooth, lingering finish.
Each bottle of Chinaco reflects a balance of craftsmanship and tradition, delivering a tequila that honors the legacy of Mexico’s spirit-making while appealing to modern tastes with its rich, nuanced profiles.
