Blair Athol
Blair Athol is one of Scotland’s oldest distilleries. It was founded in 1798. The distillery was opened and closed for many years and changed hands many times until Arthur Bell & Sons Ltd rebuilt the distillery in 1949. The distillery is situated in the buzzing village of Pitlochry, Perthsire. Blair Athol distillery is the signature malt of the Bell’s blend.
The distillery has an excellent visitor center and is Diageo’s third most visited distillery behind Oban and Talisker. The Distillery produces around about 2,500,000 litres of a year. Blair Athol has two wash stills and two spirit stills. The distillery is a very picturesque distillery and well worth a visit. House Style: Redolent of shortbread and ginger cake. Spicy & nutty.
