Auchroisk
Auchroisk (Pronounced: othrUjsk) is one of the youngest distilleries in Scotland. It can be found just 5 miles from Keith. Auchroisk was built in just under two years and was finished in 1974. Auchroisk single malt whisky could originally be found under the name “The Singleton” as it was thought that Auchroisk would be too hard for the consumers to say.
It was then just named “Auchroisk” and now can be found under “The Singleton of Auchroisk”. The distillery gets its water from Dorie’s Well and Mulben Burn. It is currently owned by Diageo. It has four wash stills, four spirit stills and produces about 3,800,000 litres a year. Most of Auchroisk spirit is saved for J&B blends. The distillery has won several awards for its architecture. House Style: A soft, sweet and sometimes lightly spicy.
