Allt-a-Bhainne Distillery is half way between Glenlivet and Dufftown distilleries. The distillery was built in 1975. It has had a main focus since it was opened and that is production. The main focus of the distillery is to produce whisky for Chivas Regal blends. The distillery is owned by Pernod Ricard. Allt-a-Bhainne was mothballed between 2002 and 2005. The distillery is the signature malt in the blended Scotch Whisky ‘100 Pipers’.
There are no official bottlings of Allt-a-Bhainne but there are a few independent bottlings out there like Aberko’s Deerstalker. The distillery has two wash stills and two spirit stills. They produce 4,000,000 litres of alcohol a year. House Style: Fragrant (dried flowers), light. Aperitif.
