Tequila
Tequila is a distilled spirit made from the blue agave plant, predominantly in Mexico's Jalisco region. To be officially called tequila, it must contain at least 51% blue agave and be produced in designated areas. The process includes harvesting and baking the agave, extracting and fermenting the juice, and distilling the liquid.
Types of tequila include Blanco (unaged), Reposado (aged 2 months to 1 year), Añejo (aged 1 to 3 years), and Extra Añejo (aged over 3 years). Tequila is enjoyed neat or in cocktails like Margaritas and Tequila Sunrises, known for its distinctive flavor and cultural importance.
